Judith Surkis, Associate Professor, Rutgers University presents an excerpt from “Sex, Law, and Sovereignty in French Algeria”.

 

This is part of the European History & Politics Workshop, supported by the European Institute and GSAC at Columbia University. The workshop will meet on select Mondays over the course of the academic year at Columbia University (Philosophy 302) from 11:30am-12:45pm. Participants will discuss pre-circulated work-in-progress over a light lunch.
